It wasn't until the fourth quarter that any more points would hit the board. When they did, it was in a way that was eerily reminiscent of how last year's game ended.

Let's talk a minute about how last year's game ended.

Miami, Ohio. 73 seconds left on the clock. Miami leads 17-14 on their home turf. It's 3rd down and seven on their own seven yard line and Cincinnati has one time out left. What do you do if you're the Redhawks? Maybe you run the ball, eat up that last time out, and dare Cincinnati to go back down the field with no timeouts and give-or-take a minute left on the clock. But - if you get the first down - it's game over and you break an 11-year losing streak to your arch-rival.

In that scenario, the Miami braintrust opted for Plan B. It did not go well. Miami's Ragland threw the ball directly into the arms of defender Malik Clements, who waltzed into the end zone for one of the easiest rivalry-game-winning touchdowns you may ever see.

So that's how that went.

This year, Ragland and Miami opened the fourth quarter with a drive that started from their own six yard line. Ragland tried to throw deep over the middle and through some number of odd bounces the ball eventually ended up in the hands of Cincinnati's Darrick Forrest who brought it back to the one yard line (below).
